Half-Life 2: Reamped – A New DOOM-Inspired Mod

Modder Velocity Punch has revealed a debut trailer for Half-Life 2: Reamped, a DOOM-like mod for Half-Life 2. According to the modder, the story of Half-Life 2: Reamped unfolds in an alternate universe where, after the Black Mesa incident, "things have gone to hell."

"People are being killed by the millions by a force beyond our comprehension, the world is in absolute chaos, destruction washes over like a roaring sea of agony, and the human race is closing on its demise," the description of the mod reads.

The modification will feature new monsters, and the gameplay itself will become much more fast-paced in the vein of shooters like Quake or DOOM rather than the classic Half-Life with more tactical shooting. 

Half-Life 2: Reamped will offer players a new arsenal of weapons, including alien weapons and large machine guns. However, Gordon Freeman's iconic weapon, the crowbar, will also appear in the mod.
