The long-awaited Halo's series adaptation is about to see the light of day coming on-screen on March 24 on Paramount Plus. Ahead of its premiere, the series has already been renewed for a second season.

The fact that the show will get a second season was announced as part of the financial report of ViacomCBS, which owns the streaming service. David Wiener, known for such shows as Fear the Walking Dead, Homecoming, and Brave New World will join the project as the showrunner and executive producer. His predecessors Stephen Kane and Kyle Killen left the project after finishing work on the first nine episodes.

The series stars Pablo Schreiber (known for American Gods) as Master Chief, Natascha McElhone (Californication) as Dr. Halsey, and Jen Taylor, the voice actress for Cortana in the Halo games will reprise her role.

The company stated that they are confident about the success of the Halo TV show and said that the series will gain a large audience. Paramount Plus chief programming officer Tanya Giles shared: "Halo is an expansive, world-building opportunity for Paramount Plus, and we’re thrilled to give fans a second season to look forward to before we launch the series next month."

It is currently unknown when Paramount will begin production of the sequel. The first season of Halo will debut on Paramount Plus on March 24, 2022.
