Helldivers 2's Killzone Sparked Backlash Over Its High Price

The entire set costs almost twice as much as the premium Warbond.

The newly released Helldivers 2 x Killzone 2 crossover has sparked negative comments from fans. While being excited over the game's launch, many players share on the Internet that these items are very expensive.

The crossover includes a Killzone-themed armor set, assault rifle, player banner, cape, and player title. The rifle costs 615 SuperCredits, the armor costs 500, the cape stands for 300 SuperCredits, the helmet is 310, the title costs 150 SuperCredits, and the banner is 90. To better understand the prices, 1,000 SuperCredits are worth $9.99. It is the price of one of Helldivers 2's premium Warbonds, which is twice as cheap as the crossover items.

"A little bit pricey," "Very cool but very pricey," "That's so expensive," read the comments to the announcement Twitter post. Players on Reddit call the update "the most expensive armor to date":

"Charging half a Warbond price for an assault rifle with no optic is straight up nonsense," notes Goopmaster_. "Killzone stuff is way too overpriced," writes Shredder2025. "We do not need to go down this route of things being priced this high."

According to a developer's blog post, this is their first official crossover. The items will be in the store for 5 days per page, and there will be two pages of items to explore.

Recently, Helldivers II became the winner at this year's The Game Awards as a Best Ongoing Game.
