Hideo Kojima Is Teasing a New Project with a Mysterious Image

The image depicts a female character with her face darkened and features the caption "Who Am I?".

Kojima Productions, the developer behind Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding, has seemingly started teasing a new project while appearing at Tokyo Game Show 2022 which started today.

The attendees noticed that the studio's merchandise booth at the event features a QR code that when scanned leads people to an intriguing image on the Kojima Productions website. The news became known to a wider audience when Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards producer and Hideo Kojima's friend, posted the image on Twitter earlier today.

The image depicts a female character with her face darkened with the caption "Who Am I?". It also features a strange symbol that doesn't seem to be from any of Hideo Kojima's other works.

Currently, no more info about the upcoming project has been revealed. Some people suggest that the project may be announced during Tokyo Game Show, while others assume that Kojima might not reveal anything at least until The Game Awards, considering Kojima's close relationship with Keighley. Keighley's tweet also aroused further speculation on the matter.

It is also unknown who the woman in the image is but many believe that the silhouette resembles Margaret Qualley, who played Mama in Death Stranding. She, according to Tom Henderson, is involved in Hideo Kojima's new horror game reportedly titled Overdose.
