Highly Detailed Blender Rig for a Stylized Character

Framed51 showcased the artwork and explained the details of its creation.

Check out this highly detailed rig of an amazingly emotional character created by a 3D Modelling Artist known as Framed51 using Blender.

The work impresses with the level of detail, as it allows to control and animate every little movement of the character and convey the slightest emotion. The character's emotions and facial expression completely change every second, transforming from joy to surprise and contemplation.

The artists revealed some technical details of the work, explaining that this rig is similar to Rigify's, so the limbs and most parts of the body use Bendy Bones. There are four control points on each limb that can bend a portion of that specific part of the body.

The rig supports the switch between Forward Kinematics, which focuses more on rotational movement, and Inverse Kinematics, stressing on positions. Also, it features a heel pivot mechanism and a toe pivot bone. According to the artist, setup for the face is very complicated and involves lots of bones, constraints, and drivers.

The artist showed one of his early works in rigging:

This old setup seems to be a base of one of the other works created by Framed51, a full-body rig created for an original stylized 3D character model:
