The game had a "relatively modest drop" in sales compared to its debut week.
Hogwarts Legacy continues to dominate various charts, including the UK retail chart, remaining the list's leader during its second week.
Last week, the game debuted at the No.1 position, surpassing the physical sales of the previous leader in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, by 64% and beating last year's successful Elden Ring's first-week physical sales by 80%.
In addition, the digital data that arrived at the end of last week showed that the sales of Hogwarts Legacy were in fact 88% bigger in the UK than those of Elden Ring last year.
While, according to GfK data, Hogwarts Legacy's physical sales now dropped by 66% compared to its debut week – which, as noted by GamesIndustry.biz, is "a relatively modest drop for a big game" at this stage – the game still was able to retain its position in the UK boxed charts.
There are no digital sales data for the second week yet, but in the first week, taking into account the digital data, Hogwarts Legacy became the fastest-selling game since Red Dead Redemption 2, outside of Call of Duty and FIFA.
The second spot in the UK retail charts last week was taken by FIFA 23, whose sales dropped by 13% compared to the previous week. The game switched places with last week's No.2, God of War Ragnarök – Santa Monica's title saw a 33% decline in sales from the previous week. Meanwhile, Nintendo's Mario Kart 8: Deluxe remained at the No.4 position with an 18% sales growth week-on-week.

- God of War Ragnarök
- Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
