The game peaked at nearly 900,000 concurrent players soon after its release.
The highly anticipated RPG Hogwarts Legacy was finally released on February 10 and has managed to get into the chart of bestsellers and games with the highest number of concurrent players.
Last week's Steam Weekly Global Top Sellers is dominated by the game: it takes the first four positions there as Steam counts different editions and pre-orders as separate titles.
The full list:
- Hogwarts Legacy: Digital Deluxe Edition
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Hogwarts Legacy: Digital Deluxe Edition
- Steam Deck
- Project Zomboid
- Dead Space
- Destiny 2: Lightfall + Annual Pass
- Dying Light 2 Stay Human
- CS:GO Prime Status Upgrade
Hogwarts Legacy also immediately sneaked into the chart of the all-time peak number of players. At the moment of writing, according to SteamDB, it attracted 879,308 people playing at the same time.
Games with the highest concurrent player count:
- PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS (3,257,248)
- Lost Ark (1,325,305)
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (1,320,219)
- Dota 2 (1,295,114)
- Cyberpunk 2077 (1,054,388)
- Elden Ring (953,426)
- New World (913,634)
- Hogwarts Legacy (879,308)
- Goose Goose Duck (702,845)
- Apex Legends (511,676)
As you can see, Hogwarts Legacy is the third single-player game on the list, which is a great achievement, especially considering the fact that a lot of people boycott it because of J.K. Rowling's words criticized by many as transphobic.
