Although for many the sentence "I learnt 3D animation to make this 1 video" is just a string of words with no meaning beyond its literal sense, those familiar with late-2010s The Elder Scrolls meme culture and know who Sorenova is would instantly be hit with a wave of nostalgia upon seeing it.
Keeping the memory of the legendary YouTuber alive – Sorenova's not dead by the way, just inactive – is Micowzow, a Digital Sculptor specializing primarily in modeling 3D dragons, who recently paid tribute to the "I learnt 3D animation to make this 1 video" meme by recreating it from the ground up.
Since the project is a meme first and a 3D animation second, the artist hasn't shared much about the production process behind it. That said, Micowzow is known to use ZBrush for sculpting, Maya for retopology, and Substance 3D Painter for texturing, so it's likely that those tools were involved here. And yes, despite the name, the artist didn't literally learn animation for this project – Micowzow already had multiple animation projects in their portfolio, but if you really wanted to hold that against them, well... you must be reeeeally fun at parties.
