Come for more in July.
Ascendant Studios released a reveal trailer for Immortals of Aveum – an upcoming magic first-person shooter that will be launched on July 20.
Made by the creators of Call of Duty and Dead Space, the game is set in a fantasy universe filled with magic, rife with conflict, and on the verge of oblivion. This single-player action tells the story of Jak, an aspiring Immortal wielding powerful magic who tries to save the world torn apart by Everwar.
The game promises fast and fluid spell-based combat, a variety of talents, magical gear, and a rich story full of mystery. Some abilities act a lot like guns, but there are still plenty of original takes on magic in the game.
Movement is varied and dynamic: "You can double jump, hover over enemies, use a Lash spell where you can latch onto anchors in an arena or pull enemies closer, and even teleport dodge."
Ascendant Studios is an independent AAA team led by Bret Robbins, the creative director of Call of Duty and the original Dead Space, who has also worked on the Legacy of Kain series.
"It was while developing CoD that the idea of Immortals was birthed: when looking at a level design for CoD, he thought about what the scene would be like in a big, bombastic fantasy setting instead."
Immortals of Aveum will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Check it out here and don't forget to join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
