Artem Erikenov has started the new year by venturing into animal grooming.
Grooming Artist Artem Erikenov, who specializes in creating highly-realistic 3D hairstyles for digital humans, has celebrated the new year by venturing into animal grooming and showcasing an exciting new project.
This time, instead of 3D humans, the creator tackled a white cat model, setting up an appealing fur for the digital creature using SideFX's flagship procedural 3D software, Houdini. Besides Houdini, the author also utilized Chaos' V-Ray in Maya to render the kitty. According to the artist, the project's goal was to practice grooming workflows, with the cat groom itself described as WIP.
