Neverlooted Dungeon is a first-person immersive indie game inviting the player to take the role of a dungeon raider and dive into the claustrophobic depths of a dark place, where every step could be the last, and where caution and wits are key to survival.
In order to be the first to loot the Neverlooted Dungeon, you will have to use your creativity and magical items in a highly interactive physics-based world to find your own ways to outsmart the dangers. The developer warns, that this game has cartoon violence in the form of unrealistic blood and dismembered corpses, which can be disabled in the settings.
In Neverlooted Dungeon you will have to navigate through the remnants of past looters, face deadly traps, defeat lurking monsters, discover hidden chambers, explore meticulously handcrafted levels, and uncover the dungeon's deepest, darkest secrets. Watch your steps, don't touch anything, become paranoid.
The developer also highlights the tremendous freedom of action in the game.
In this interactive world featuring physics-based traps, water physics, fire propagation, and versatile magical items you can stack crates on spikes, block saws with severed limbs, throw pumpkins at levers, make floating bridges with tables, kick stuff, or burn the dungeon to the ground – the choice is yours.
It doesn't matter if you're a careful explorer, a silent assassin, a war mage, or a reckless fighter, to develop your own style of play, you'll have to acquire versatile equipment.
Explore numerous possibilities with items like rope arrows, magical wand, flamethrower, rat-summoning flute, double jump boots, and much more.
To survive, you will have to pay attention to details and sharpen your senses, as there are deadly traps everywhere, ranging from simple hidden pits to epic chambers.
Fight monsters however you like: face them in strategic combat or be a silent shadow.
There's a wide range of approaches: you can move, dodge, block, dash, jump, use magic equipment, and use the environment to your advantage. Hiding in the shadows and distracting monsters with noise works too. You can lure them into traps, or kick into a dark pit from the shadows.
Remember, it's okay to die. You'll continue the journey as a new dungeon raider, loot your previous corpse, and use it to your advantage to progress even further.
The Neverlooted Dungeon Demo is available to download on Steam. The developer Wild Mage Games continues to improve the game with new features and regularly shares updates on the game's X/Twitter account.
The game is scheduled to be released in 2024. As for now, it supports Windows and Linux platforms.
