The developer has released a new anniversary trailer that reflects on the fruitful and meaningful past 12 months. Of course, exciting content is expected in the coming year.
Indie game sensation DREDGE celebrated its one-year anniversary on March 28, marking the milestone with the release of a special One Year Anniversary Trailer. This new trailer takes a look back at the game's milestones and achievements over the past 12 months, following the boat's voyage.
Developed as a single-player fishing adventure, DREDGE has allowed players to sell their catch, upgrade their boats, and dredge the depths for long-buried secrets while exploring a mysterious archipelago.

By October 2023, DREDGE had sold an impressive one million copies and released a downloadable content (DLC) pack, The Pale Reach, in November 2023. In an interview with us back then, the developer Black Salt Games had hinted more plans for the game, teasing the release of the second expansion, The Iron Rig, which is expected this year.

While celebrating their one-year anniversary, the developers also used the occasion to give back. They announced a donation to the NZ Whale & Dolphin Trust, contributing to the trust's research and conservation efforts. They stated:
"To celebrate DREDGE's one-year anniversary, we've made a $100,000 donation to the NZ Whale & Dolphin Trust to further their research and conservation efforts. We want to thank the community again for playing our game in the last year- your support has made this possible!"
