The game is inspired by Half-Life 2, and the INDUSTRIA 2 developers combined in-game cutscenes reminiscent of Valve's FPS with actual camera cuts. The first-person perspective maintains the unique feel of solitude experienced by the main character, even in the presence of others. The game also gives off the vibes of Stranger Things, a Netflix series about an alternative reality with a lot of D&D-inspired elements.
Bleakmill also shared that if you played the first INDUSTRIA, you would encounter familiar locations and other features seamlessly integrated into a world full of new mysteries.

INDUSTRIA 2 was announced last March and is set years after the events of the first part. The developers have been actively sharing the updates on the project, showcasing the game's diegetic inventory menu, custom-made foliage, weapons and enemies.
