The latest version of the software that allows you to create terrains comes with brand new erosion nodes and the 2D flow map node.
You can now use Thermal erosion, Multi-scale erosion, and Mountain aging for a more realistic look. These can be used either alone or mixed with one another to create even more details in your terrains.
Thermal erosion makes river banks broader and it is somewhat similar to hydraulic erosion. Multi-scale erosion is applied at different scales and it erodes your terrain more deeply than, for instance, a simple hydraulic erosion. Mountain aging does exactly what you'd expect it to do — it simulates the aging of the terrain by adding texture to it to give it a worn-out look.
Also, if you import your terrain from a TIFF or ASC file that contains geographic data (e.g. longitude/latitude), it is saved and written to the exported file.
