Wysilab has released a new plugin streamlining the process of importing terrains created inside Instant Terra into Unreal Engine.
The new plugin makes it possible to initiate terrain creation from inside the game engine. Users can then edit the terrain inside Instant Terra itself, and send the results back to Unreal Engine. Terrains can be exported to layers within Unreal Engine’s Landscape Material – there are readymade layer types for grass, rocks, and snow – complete with masks generated in Instant Terra.
As well as creating new terrains, the plugin can be used to import existing Instant Terra projects into Unreal Engine, automatically generating the node graph necessary for the Unreal Engine project.
