Interactive Unity-Powered Holographic Avatar AI Chatbot

Experience next-level conversations with Genie.

Voxon Photonics CEO Gavin Smith showcased Genie, a Unity app featuring an interactive volumetric avatar that can be viewed from all angles. While five distinct head designs will be revealed in the future, technically, any 3D model can be used, and this display is optimized for 1:1 human head animations.

In the video, you can even see the hollow-face illusion, which is described as "an optical illusion in which the perception of a concave mask of a face appears as a normal convex face". This Star Trek-looking demo is running on a pre-production Voxon Photonics VX2 display using Reallusion's face rigs.

The VX2 is Voxon's next-generation volumetric hologram, compatible with standard 3D file formats and workflows, supports Unity, C, and C++, and ships with a variety of exciting demos, which you can order by clicking this link.

Follow Gavin Smith on LinkedIn for the latest updates on Genie and learn more about Voxon Photonics in our 2022 interview, where Gavin Smith discussed the company's history, detailing the previous VX1 volumetric display and how it can transform your 3D renders into holograms.
