Join Playtest of an upcoming First-Person Puzzle Game with Portal Vibes
ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard is slated for launch in 2025.
Pixel Maniacs is looking for playtesters for their upcoming colorful first-person puzzler set in a sci-fi world, ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard.
ChromaGun is the powerful weapon you’ll be sticking to within this game, and as you enter each fully 3D chamber of the ChromaTec facility, use your “refined painting- and color-mixing skills to voluntarily solve intricate puzzles.”
It might start easy — you’ll need to shoot yellow paint at a red spheric blocker to make it orange and thus move away from the door so you can access the next area, but soon, it’ll become more challenging with more complex puzzles ahead of your journey. Some need to be solved in a timely manner, so speed becomes more important as you progress.
The game also features Magnetoid Chromatism, a word that the developers admit they invented. It is defined as “a physical property of the pandimensional realm,” and it allows players to manipulate items like boxes or crates by mixing colors. With the color blind accessibility mode, the game will also be enjoyable for those who suffer from such issues.

The game’s predecessor, ChromaGun, was released in 2016 and has been well received. Players have lots of fun solving color puzzles and enjoying the little challenges.
