Julien Gauthier's Architectural Pack for Blender Updated

The new update adds new presets, hanging cables and fabric, a simple net and rope system, and more.

Art Director at ILM and Blender enthusiast Julien Gauthier announced the release of Architectural Pack 1.1, a new and improved version of the artist's set of Geometry Nodes-powered tools, released back in early May. The newly released update adds two new presets, industrial and wooden, for the Promenade node, a simple net and rope system, an ivy creation system, brings the ability to set up hanging fabrics and cables, and adds thumbnails for Asset Browser usage.

The update features:

  • Hanging Cables: Will convert a single straight line into hanging cables. You can specify how many of them you want and how much they are affected by gravity. You can add a secondary set of hanging cables attached to the first ones, give them some thickness and position variation, as well as add some wind.
  • Hanging Fabric: This new feature will turn a simple face into a fabric deformed by gravity, attached by the vertices of your face. You can adjust the tension and add some extrude on the side.
  • Nets and Ropes System
  • Simple Ivy: You can draw your curve and it will spawn geometries around it, the preset is set up to create plants and ivy.
  • Thumbnails for Asset Browser usage
  • New Presets for the Promenade Node
