The update adds built-in generic head primitive and surface masking.
KeenTools has released GeoTracker for After Effects 2023.1, which adds head tracking, surface masking, and other improvements to the plug-in.
The software now has a new 5th primitive – generic head model, which makes tracking the character's head easier. All primitives can now be exported from GeoTracker as .OBJ or .FBX files with the same parameters as in the original After Effects project.
KeenTools also added a new type of mask – Surface mask – that "excludes selected areas on the 3D model from tracking" to help mask out overlapping elements.
Here is the full list of GeoTracker for After Effects improvements:
- Built-in generic head model
- Surface masking
- 3D models export
- UVs for built-in primitives
- Adaptive opacity
- Minor improvements and bug fixes
GeoTracker for After Effects is compatible with After Effects 17.0+ on Windows and macOS. Individual Freelancer subscriptions will cost you $18/month or $179/yea while floating Studio subscriptions cost $499/year.
