KeenTools Released GeoTracker 2023.3 for Blender

The company has updated built-in texturing, Lock View option, and selected pins export.

KeenTools has released GeoTracker 2023.3 for Blender, a stable version of the 3D object tracking plugin. It's updated built-in texturing, Lock View option, and selected pins export among other changes. Let's take a closer look at them.

The tool's built-in texturing lets you take a texture from the tracked object and bake it onto your 3D model, simplifying the process of adding visual effects to your shot.

What's more, the Lock View option allows you to stabilize the clip by locking the view to the 3D model or a specific point on it to improve tracking accuracy.

To streamline your workflow, selected pins export makes it possible to get an Empty object from a particular point on the mesh with just one click

Another significant change is in GeoTracker's monetization format. It is now a paid tool with a 15-day trial period for everyone, whether you've tried beta or not. If you have an active GeoTracker license for Foundry Nuke or After Effects, it will work in Blender too.

Individual Freelancer subscriptions will cost you $18/month or $179/year while floating Studio subscriptions are available for $499/year.

But this is not all: GeoTracker plug-ins for After Effects and Nuke got maintenance updates and improvements. The tool is now compatible with both Nuke 15.0 and 14.1.
