KeyShot Studio 2025.3 Released

Now featuring OpenPBR and Cryptomatte support, a new Custom Pivot tool, improved performance, and more.

KeyShot, a popular real-time 3D renderer, now known as KeyShot Studio, has received an update introducing Cryptomatte and OpenPBR support.

You can now transfer files into KeyShot Studio while preserving the original material parameters from Rhino via the importer or plug-in, from Blender via the plug-in, and from GLTF/GLB files via the importer.

Cryptomatte simplifies the process of selecting individual parts in a rendering. It works by using the existing 3D scene data, which already contains information about the different components. Cryptomatte is an open standard that adds extra information to your render, which can be enabled as a Render Pass in KeyShot Studio 2025.3. The Cryptomatte data is exported alongside the rendered image as an EXR file and can be imported into post-production software that supports Cryptomatte.

Additionally, by selecting Custom Pivot within the Move tool, you can manually adjust the pivot point for the selected parts of the model. There are also updates to the Material Graph, depth of field lock feature, and up to 50% faster performance on AMD hardware.
