Nideep Varghese, Senior Animator at DreamWorks Animation, offered to take a look at how a piece of Kung Fu Panda 4 looked before the final rendering.
The artist showcased a comparison of the animation pass and the final look of the movie extract, which depicts Chameleon, Zhen, and Po. The pre-production clip lacks voluminous coloring, lighting, and visual effects, but the 3D characters move almost exactly like in the final version. Also, the animation pass features a high level of detail, including clothes ornaments and wooden boards. The characters' emotions are also lively and expressive, looking similar to the final version.
