Lavender Falls: Creating an Environment with Nvidia Canvas and Photoshop

Gavin O'Donnell has published a new tutorial, that covers the creation process of Wonderland in Nvidia Canvas, Blender, and Photoshop.

The course is prepared by Gavin O'Donnell, a Concept Artist and Illustrator working in the field of animation and video games. Currently, Gavin is a Visual Development Artist at Giant Animation Studios.

In this 13-hour tutorial, the mentor will show you how to translate ideas using 2D and 3D tools in a beginner-friendly way. You will learn the best techniques for black and white sketching, painting over 3D, photobashing, and lighting, and will acquire a strong base to paint over in Photoshop.

The course consists of 65 videos with a step-by-step explanation of the working process. Also, it includes 9 downloadable resources and lifetime access. 

The course will start with the idea generation process and reference gathering. The mentor will show you how to research, and combine ideas. Also, you will see the workflow for the ideas/compos generation in NVIDIA Canvas. 

Next to this, Gavin will explain the techniques he applies when creating a concept and producing sketches. 

After the concept part, you will deep dive into working in Blender. The mentor will share the hacks, tips, and tricks to ease your work with this tool. After the theory, you'll start building an asset kit in Blender. 

The last part of the tutorial will cover the painting techniques and the composition tips. Gavin will show you the key areas you should focus on during the scene creation process.
