The recent addition to the Riot Games team hints at such a possibility.
With Riot Games' League of Legends being one of the most popular MOBAs on the market and Arcane, a renowned TV series based on the game, being cherished by almost everyone, it seems that some kind of TV or movie adaptation starring real people was only a matter of time. And if the recent addition to the Riot Games team is to base one's opinion on, an LoL-related movie is what we'll get in the near future.
As Variety reports, the company has recently hired Mandy Beckner for the role of Global Head of Live-Action Development, Film, and TV. In this role, she will be in charge of developing various TV-related content for Riot Games, reporting to the company's Chief Content Officer, Brian Wright.
"Mandy is a dynamic executive with a successful track record that speaks to the kind of entertaining and engaging IP that Riot is known for," commented Wright. "We are thrilled to welcome her to the Riot family."
