Enginuity, the developer behind Skill Tree Pro, a modular, multiplayer-ready skill system with a procedurally generated skill tree and easy plug-and-play integration, has decided to give back to the community by releasing a tutorial series on rebuilding the single-player version of this asset.
Planned as a 20-part series, the first episode is already live, focusing on initial setup with full modularity so it can be integrated into any game. Everything is done entirely in Blueprints, no C++ needed.
You'll build a procedurally generated yet customizable skill tree, backed by a robust system, and also explore advanced UI materials and animations to create polished interfaces, while learning techniques for smooth panning, zooming, and autofocus. Enginuity will also share best practices for maximum scalability, including soft object batch loading, material optimization using signed distance fields, and dependency management.
