Lightforge – an all-remote video game studio founded by Epic Games and Blizzard Entertainment veterans – announced it has raised $15 Million in Series A funding to create a new RPG. The round was led by Bitkraft Ventures, with other major investors contributing.
The company's debut project is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and will combine the creative elements of games like Minecraft or Roblox with the open-ended storytelling of tabletop RPGs.
"Our team is building a game that looks to push the boundaries of the stories and worlds players can create together," said Lightforge Games CEO Matt Schembari.
