Long-Awaited 3D SDF Modeling Plug-in For Blender Launches This Week

The Alpha version of João Desager's ConjureSDF is nearing its release.

Technical Artist and Developer João Desager, known to many for his poly modeling add-on Miter Box, has recently taken to Twitter to share an exciting announcement regarding ConjureSDF, the artist's upcoming plug-in that adds Signed Distance Fields (SDF) modeling tools to Blender.

Having been in development for over a year, ConjureSDF promises to expand the software's modeling capabilities with the addition of non-destructive SDF tools. According to the developer, who has already shared dozens of demos showcasing the plug-in's capabilities, ConjureSDF was inspired by Lucian Stanculescu's modeling tool, Clavicula.

With his latest demos, João previewed the newly added ability to change primitives' nesting structure, the upgraded UI, and the improved deletion behavior of primitives in ConjureSDF. Most importantly, however, the artist announced that the highly anticipated Public Alpha version of the add-on is set to be launched in just one week, promising more updates closer to the release date.
