Stephen Phillips, a Solution Architect at Epic Games, made a free sample project and prepared a post on the Epic Dev Community website about getting any actor to automatically and smoothly follow a spline in Unreal Engine 5, The developer wanted to help fellow artists build pedestrian and traffic systems.
"Having an object or person follow a specified path in Unreal Engine is an extremely common feature required in both games and enterprise visualizations," noted Phillips. "Furthermore, it’s also helpful to know when the actor has reached the end of its path or gone a certain distance in their journey."
