Check out powerful new tools for texturing and painting, alongside features like low-to-low baking and ray traced fog.
Marmoset Toolbag 5.02 has officially launched, delivering a major update packed with new features and enhancements across texturing, baking, rendering, and scene management.
One of the highlights is the new Decal layer type that lets you easily project materials and brush presets directly onto your mesh. A brand-new Smudge Tool allows for intuitive color mixing, shape blending, and the creation of stylized effects. There's also a new Tile Strip system that builds modular tube shapes using start, middle, and end tiles, great for things like straps, shoelaces, snakes, or feathers.

In addition, a new Tube brush mode for Paint layers brings the same drawing style as Vector Tube mode, allowing for profile-based brush strokes and expanding the functionality of brush and vector presets. Marmoset Toolbag 5.02 also introduces Sample Layers for Masks, letting you quickly convert any layer's content into a mask for greater creative control when building materials.
Vector layers now support a new Decal projection mode, letting you create and project shapes from a virtual plane onto your mesh, ideal for designing logos or detailed mechanical elements. Other improvements include the addition of Sync Points in groups, support for low-to-low-poly texture baking, ray traced fog, a new hotkey editor, and more.
