Insomniac Games has revealed that the long-awaited continuation of its 2018's Marvel's Spider-Man is coming to PlayStation 5 in fall 2023.
The studio announced the news in a new PlayStation blog, confirming the previously announced release window of 2023.
"Here at Insomniac Games we’ve been in absolute awe of the work of our peers," Insomniac's creative director Bryan Intihar said. "Congrats to everyone on a successful 2022… and here’s to next year being just as exciting as we continue to get Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ready for release next fall."
Spider-Man 2 will unfold after the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and will bring back the Spider-Man duo of Peter Parker and Miles Morales for the franchise’s next "blockbuster action chapter."
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was first announced during the PlayStation Showcase in September 2021. At the same time, the developer revealed it was working on a Wolverine game for PS5. However, currently, there is no set launch date or release window for the latter title.
