Noah Schnapp offers over 33 hours of video content and multiple project files, enabling you to jump in at any point and create a flexible, reusable muscle pipeline at a studio level.
3D Generalist Noah Schnapp has experience in writing and optimizing various studio pipelines and is excited to share the industry secrets he's developed and refined over the years in Mastering Houdini Muscles: A Studio-Level VFX Workflow course.
This course is designed for intermediate to advanced 3D artists and studios aiming to elevate their character effects simulation pipeline, capable of tackling even the most challenging shots in today's VFX landscape.
Say goodbye to messy manual setups and plug-ins, you'll learn to achieve everything using Houdini. By the end of this training series, you'll build a flexible, reusable muscle pipeline from scratch, learn to automate complex workflows for quicker iterations, efficiently reconform muscles and assets, optimize simulation speed with parallel processing and render farms, create fully procedural setups without needing extensive coding, master advanced Houdini tools like TOP networks and automated caching, and be able to apply the pipeline to both game and VFX projects at a studio level.
Mastering Houdini Muscles: A Studio Level VFX Workflow is divided into six chapters, starting with a free course introduction. The second chapter covers simple muscles in Houdini, moving to the easy reconformation of muscles to characters, an introduction to complex muscles, automatic preroll generation for CFX, and finally, studio-level pipeline and simulation.
To join this course, it's recommended that you have basic to intermediate knowledge of Houdini and experience with CFX, familiarity with simulation concepts, rigging, and 3D character design. A basic understanding of Python, VEX, and HScript is also beneficial but not required.
