“If I really want to make one more game, one more epic game, what should that be?”
That’s the question Peter Molyneux had asked himself. With more than 40 years of experience in game development, and being the creator behind many classic titles, such as the Fable series, Godus, Theme Park, and Dungeon Keeper, the 65-year-old Peter Molyneux pondered upon this question. Now, we’ve got the answer: Masters of Albion, an upcoming open-world God game.
The announcement trailer immediately made me click the button to add it to my Steam wishlist. I know it’s my type of game when it shows one can use a baguette as a weapon.
“Navigate your way through intrigue and plot – kings come and go, lords shake you by the hand then stab you in the back, and the people work like dogs and are treated no better.”

In this God game, you are the superpower behind everything. Your tasks include designing and building the village during a peaceful day, preparing food and picking up clothes for your villagers, upgrading the infrastructure, and forging weapons to be used when dangerous creatures in Albion attack your territory at night.
Heroes play a key role in Albion as they safeguard the territory. You can create customized heroes and equip them with unique weapons, and leveling up can make them more powerful. The game allows you to possess a hero and explore a beautiful open world with a third-person perspective.
