Maxon Launches Cinema 4D 2025.3 & Redshift 2025.5

Enjoy a new liquid simulation type.

Maxon has released Cinema 4D 2025.3 and Redshift 2025.5, adding new features for a better experience.

In Cinema 4D, you can enjoy the extension of the particle simulation into a GPU-based liquid system by turning particles into liquid with the Liquify modifier or generating liquid particles with the new Liquid Fill emitter. There is also a Liquid Mesher for generating and refining a surface from liquid particles.

Maxon has introduced changes to UVs as well, with seamless UDIM support in the UV editor and the ability to pack UVs to specific tiles. Moreover, the UV grid now expands infinitely, UV tile coordinates are displayed in the UV viewport, and texel density is supported with a dedicated set of tools to get, set, and match texel density across elements, tiles, and objects.

You can also help yourself with AI-based search, which searches through text prompts, images, or based on the contents of your viewport. Maxon notes that it is executed locally and doesn't share your information with anyone.

Other Cinema 4D changes include:

  • Spline Primitives now come with handles for interactive adjustment of parameters in the Viewport.
  • Added native support for Laubwerk Plant object
  • Adjust age and season variations, level of detail and display/render settings
  • The complete Laubwerk library of high-quality plants has been added to the Maxon Capsule library.

As for Redshift 2025.5, it features new Ambient Occlusion AOV with built-in AO shading parameters, support for NVIDIA 50xx series (Blackwell) GPUs, and support for USDZ rendering.

Maxon improved the quality of the viewport material baking and per-strand-point attributes in hair objects and curves in Cinema 4D, boosted the responsiveness of material parameters controls and enabled per-material override for USD proxy in Maya, added support for Blender PointCloud objects created using the Geometry Nodes, and fixed many bugs.
