Maxon Shipped Redshift 2025.6

This is largely a bugfix update, with some functional enhancements for 3ds Max and Houdini plug-ins.

Maxon has released a new version of its 3D rendering software as part of the 2025 lineup. Unlike version 2025.5, which introduced more substantial updates, version 2025.6 is primarily a bugfix release, addressing over 20 issues.

That said, it still brings a few enhancements for 3ds Max and Houdini plug-ins. For example, 3ds Max users (2023 or later) can now take advantage of a DirectX 11 viewport preview for Dome Lights, complete with OCIO support and real-time color adjustment. Meanwhile, Houdini users gain the ability to control OBJ parameters at the SOP level through the newly added Redshift Object Params node.

For the complete list of changes in Redshift 2025.6, see the release notes here. If you're a Redshift user, we also recommend checking out Toon Studio collection from The Pixel Lab, created in collaboration with Theo Daley. This pack features 100 fully customizable shaders in anime, comic, sci-fi, and painterly styles, built for easy drag-and-drop use and straightforward tweaking within Redshift.
