Mathias Røyrvik, Justin Lamperski, Paul McWilliams, and Giovanni Braggio joined CGMA to teach students industry-proven workflows and professional skills in rigging, animation, weapon art, and VFX.

Mathias Røyrvik / NINJA THEORY
Teaches Rigging Techniques: Cartoon to Realistic
Mathias Røyrvik started out as a runner at Framestore London before he joined MPC London as a rigger and worked his way up to become a lead rigger. He's currently working at Ninja Theory as a Senior Technical Artist with a focus on rigging. While at MPC he would often spend time teaching new artists the pipeline, tools and general Maya/rigging ideas, something that led to him officially working on rigging documentation and training new hires. He worked on a wide range of rigging problems from tentacles to digi-doubles to custom facial rigs. Some of his film credits include Aquaman, Underwater, Alien: Covenant and Wonder Woman.
Justin Lamperski / SLEDGEHAMMER GAMES
Teaches Weapons and Props for Games
Justin Lamperski is currently the lead Weapons and Vehicles artist at Sledgehammer Games. He grew up loving games and developed that into a passion for creating them. His career started in environments; he spent about 7 years of his career going from an associate to senior environment artist. After shipping a few titles, he became interested in a position in Weapons and Vehicles and has never looked back. In total, he has about 15 years experience in video game art creation.
Paul McWilliams / FREELANCE
Teaches VFX Set Extensions
Paul McWilliams has been Environment Generalist and Lighting artist working on films as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and the Visual Effects Oscar award-winning Inception. Paul has worked in production at visual effects companies including DNEG and MPC and has educational training experience as a Learning lead at Technicolor Academy and instructor at the National Film and Television School (NFTS, Beaconsfield, England). He is a returning instructor to CGMA, having previously mentored an Environment Creation course with CGWorkshops. He is also a fully Qualified Teacher with a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE from Institute of Education, University College London).
Giovanni Braggio / NETFLIX ANIMATION
Teaches 2D Animation for 3D Animators
2D and 3D animator Giovanni Braggio has worked for several international studios such as Sergio Pablos Animation, Cartoon Network, The Line, Passion Pictures, Red Knuckles and Nørlum in both cinema (Klaus, Tout en Haut du Monde, Giallo a Milano) and television (The Amazing World of Gumball). In addition to these big projects, he also freelanced for short movies and commercials and developed a few personal works (Animation tutorial part 1 aka the secret of animation, Cupid). He has a degree in Graphics and Multimedia with a specialization in 2D animation, 3D animation and comic books. During his career, he has lived in the UK, Denmark, Portugal and Spain, and he currently lives in Rome where he works as a freelancer.
