Melting Meshes in Blender 3.5 With Geometry Nodes

Jesse Miettinen experimented with the upcoming Geometry Nodes Simulation Branch.

3D Artist and Blender enthusiast Jesse Miettinen, a.k.a. Blenderesse, whose fantastic projects never cease to amaze and inspire us, has recently unveiled several new demos showcasing a neat setup that enables him to melt meshes using Geometry Nodes.

Created using Geometry Nodes Simulation Branch, a new framework for Blender 3.5 that allows one to set up basic simulations, currently available in beta, the setup gives the artist the ability to create a neat melting effect, the parameters of which can be tweaked and customized to achieve the desired result.
