Update 2.5 introduces what the tool's users have long been waiting for: official Unreal Engine and Unity plugins, making jumping between DCCs simpler than ever. With this version, characters can move between Unreal Engine, Unity, and METATAILOR while skipping skin-weighting entirely. Clothing automatically fits, skin-weights, and adapts to each character, regardless of where it was created or which engine it comes from.

You can bring a character into METATAILOR, dress it, and send it back to the game engine of your choice: "No manual skin-weighting. No rework."

Aside from these fantastic features, METATAILOR 2.5 brings a dynamic wardrobe, allowing you to store all your clothing assets directly inside the Unreal Engine or Unity project and apply them to any character at any time, with the outfits remaining fully compatible across characters and engines.

To unify pipelines, METATAILOR Bridge serves as a connection layer: it moves fully dressed characters between engines without asset breakage or refitting.
