Embracer Group says that strong back catalog performance exceeded management’s expectations.
4A Games' Metro Exodus sold over 6 million copies since its launch in 2019, says the parent company's report.
Embracer Group, the parent company that owns Koch Media, which published the game, reported it had seen strong sales over the last quarter.
"The main revenue driver for the quarter was strong back catalog performance, which
exceeded management’s expectations."
Although part of the success is brought by the recently released Hot Wheels Unleashed, which sold over a million copies, the report also mentions Metro Exodus.
"Back-catalog sales were also driven by the evergreen title Metro Exodus, which has sold 6 million copies since its launch in February 2019, and Saints Row The Third: Remastered."
