Microsoft Launches a Blog Dedicated to the Purchase of Activision Blizzard

A special page on Microsoft's website explains what benefits the merger can bring to players and creators as well as the entire game industry.

Microsoft has launched a blog dedicated to the purchase of Activision Blizzard. A special page on Microsoft's website titled "Our vision for gaming: More choice and more games for people everywhere" explains what the acquisition of Activision will mean for players and creators as well as the entire game industry.

According to Microsoft, the benefits that players will get when the acquisition is completed include a wider variety of games that will be available on multiple platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, and mobile devices. The company also noted that players will also have more choices regarding how and where to buy these games.

Developers, in turn, will be able to make their games available to a wider audience and release them on more favorable terms, receiving a larger share of the revenue, Microsoft claims.

Speaking of the benefits for the entire game industry, Microsoft stated that the merger of Activision Blizzard with Microsoft will bring more competition to the mobile and console gaming market. The company also added that it plans to make an "emphasis on positive workplace culture" and increase local investment in even more studios.

Apart from the potential benefits that Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard can bring, the blog also contains a section with the latest acquisition updates, quotes from Microsoft executives about the advantages of the deal, and infographics showing revenue growth in the gaming industry.
