In a recent interview, Holly Longdale, the Vice President and Executive Producer of World of Warcraft, talked to VGC and shared their experience of joining Microsoft after the big acquisition had been finalized.
According to Longdale, there hasn't been much changed. The tech giant is very supportive of Blizzard's teams and lets Blizzard "be Blizzard", without altering their day-to-day processes and operations.
"There's no one asking us to do anything," Longdale shared with VGC. "World of Warcraft is doing very well and they're very proud of what it's been able to accomplish, so it's almost like just let it be, and let it keep being awesome. They've been tremendously supportive and it's like 'let Blizzard be Blizzard.' "
Yesterday, we discussed Longdale's statement on the possibility of releasing World of Warcraft on consoles. Even though the team is still talking about it, they have nothing to share at the moment.
