The ChatGPT inside found it "unethical and unfair".
Microsoft's new AI-powered Bing is a fascinating tool for all kinds of dialog interactions. Integrated with OpenAI's GPT-4 model, which can be found in the popular ChatGPT, it allows you to have a conversation with it directly in the toolbar.
There are many tasks Bing can do for you now, however, if you'd like to make it help you get a job, you're out of luck. Business Insider shared that the AI refused to write a cover letter. The reporter tried to generate one for the position of social media content producer, but Bing said that it would be "unethical and unfair to other applicants".
At the same time, the system provided some tips and links to cover letter writing resources and even wished the "candidate" good luck. The tips included "research the company and the role, and tailor your cover letter to show how you fit their needs and values" and "use a clear and professional tone, and avoid spelling and grammar errors."
Interestingly, ChatGPT didn't have such high moral standards and created a 270-word cover letter without a complaint.
