Microsoft Tests New Compact Mode for Game Bar
The new mode, now available for Xbox Insiders, will make playing on the console easier.

Microsoft announced the new Compact Mode for Game Bar, which is now available for Xbox Insiders. Compact Mode is a new option that is suitable for small screens, Windows handhelds, and when playing on a PC with a controller.
Compart Mode is claimed to make the Game Bar experience more intuitive and easy to navigate, with simplified access to widgets. "When using a controller, you can switch between widgets quickly with left and right bumpers (LB/RB)," explains Oliver Xu, Senior Product Manager at Xbox Experiences.
With the Home widget, the players can browse running and recently played games and quit the games faster than on the desktop version. The Resource widget allows the players to see what other applications are on and close them to save the device's resources. A variety of these widgets are presented in the Widget Store.

The new mode is still being tested, and Microsoft collects feedback from the players. You can join the Xbox Insiders to test the new mode.
