"It's a terrible gut punch."

Fans who got excited for Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection were devastated by the game's disastrous launch. They report bugs, server issues, crashes, and other problems, so its developer, Aspyr, has been under fire for days now.
If the team thought it was the end of their troubles, they were mistaken. A modder called iamashaymin was surprised to see their mod for Battlefront 2 first in the trailer and then in the game itself. Aspyr told IGN that the Collection "does not include any code or content that is taken from uncredited sources", but fans found evidence of the Asajj Ventress from the mod. The developers soon removed the pieces of someone else's work, but it's a bit too late now.
"There's not really anything else I can say that other players aren't already screaming, it's a terrible feeling getting very pumped for a game like this and it just missing the mark entirely. It's a terrible gut punch."
Maybe Aspyr is just bad at deleting stuff as iamashaymin also found their work in the Nintendo Switch version: "Seriously, Aspyr, I’m beginning to feel insulted. Nintendo Switch launched with just straight up all my hero stuff from my mod. Same glitches and bugs. We’ve datamined it and it’s the exact same files just using the proper lightsaber attack anims."
It seems like there is no happy ending for the Battlefront Classic Collection. I haven't found any apologies from Aspyr yet, but I hope it will cook something soon as a serious company adding mods without credits is a little embarrassing.
For now, the game's reviews on Steam stay Overwhelmingly Negative making it the 9th worst-rated title there.
