RenderCrate released a modular medieval castle kit that can be used both in commercial and non-commercial projects. The kit is available for free and offers a huge collection of 3D structures that were designed to create medieval kingdom buildings.
The pack includes a range of assets including 3D castle walls, 3D castle towers, and a variety of large structures. According to the devs, the kit offers highly realistic assets that utilize custom photoscanned materials providing the texture quality at 8K resolution. There are also several variations of material including light bricks, brown bricks, dark bricks, and old bricks.
The 3D models are provided in USDZ as well as in FBX format. While the USDZ importer gives the opportunity to import the models with scale, naming, materials, and textures set up with a click, the FBX option offers the format that is compatible with any 3D software including Blender, Cinema4D, 3ds Max, and Houdini.
