Japanese gaming giant Capcom has boasted impressive financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, thanks to the huge success of Monster Hunter Wilds.
The latest financial report, issued this Tuesday, shows that the company has seen ¥169.6 billion (around $1.15 billion) net sales, an 11.3% YoY increase, and a 15.2% increase in operating income. For the past twelve years without a break, the company has seen consecutively increased operating income.
It also revealed that Capcom sold a whopping 51.87 million units across all its titles during the fiscal year, a 13% increase compared with the 45.89 million units sold in the previous year.
The newest installment in the Monster Hunter series, which was released in February to almost one million users on Steam and sold ten million copies in its first month, has been a shining part of it.
Not only has it been performing extremely well, but the new game also helped boost sales for other titles in the franchise, such as Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and Monster Hunter Rise, making the total global sales of the flagship franchise exceed 100 million. These stunning figures definitely do a lot in "helping to enhance the brand value of Monster Hunter."
