Its huge screen transforms the night.
Las Vegas lights up with a beautiful show on July 4 with help from MSG Sphere – a 366-foot-tall orb with over 1.2 million LEDs on its surface. The Sphere demonstrated all kinds of imagery, including fireworks, the American flag, the Moon, and even a giant eyeball.
MSG Sphere is a part of the Venetian resort, a casino/hotel complex. It’s a theater that offers 18,000 seats and a 16K LED screen.
"The Exosphere consists of approximately 1.2 million LED pucks, spaced eight inches apart. Each puck contains 48 individual LED diodes, with each diode capable of displaying 256 million different colors – creating a vivid new landmark on the Las Vegas skyline," according to the creators.
The venue should officially open later this summer after nearly five years of construction. Meanwhile, you can check out the show it presented this week.
