NAIAD, Nature-Inspired Game with Unique Painterly Charm, Is Released
The relaxing adventure by HiWarp has been launched for PC and console.
After five years of development, an exploration adventure game NAIAD, created by a solo developer HiWarp, was released during the Wholesome Snack showcase.
The last updates on the game were revealed over a year ago, and according to the creator's notes on Steam, the game was under continuous development. Compared to the previously released demo, the game features a lot of new content and areas to explore. Visual appearance, including UI and level design, has been remade and improved. Apart from this, NAIAD will have an original soundtrack with over an hour and a half of music. Also, it will receive a layer of vibration and haptics, with special support for DualSense on PC.

NAIAD is a relaxing, colorful adventure game about nature in which you discover the secrets of an enchanting, cozy world while flowing across a mysterious river and interacting with the world's fauna and flora. You will meet and help various creatures like butterflies, rabbits, turtles, snakes, and crocodiles and visit diverse nature sites such as a spring, a forest, a cave, a lake, and an orchard. The unique, dreamy, painterly-style visuals contribute to the peaceful and enchanting atmosphere.

The game features 16 episodes and offers you to solve small puzzles, interact with the environment, and overcome obstacles to make your way further in the adorable game's world. The game was created with a love for nature and will ask you to complete unusual tasks, such as singing to make plants and flowers bloom. The gameplay experience will be a "heartfelt story of meditation, with beautiful metaphors about the water cycle, life, and the importance of nature."
