Nano Tech: An Upcoming Mesh Rendering System for Unity

The system supports HDRP/URP and is similar to UE5's Nanite.

Unity Developer Chris Kahler unveiled Nano Tech, an upcoming mesh rendering system for Unity that uses the power of the engine's Shader Graph and Unity API. According to the developer, the system was inspired by Unreal Engine 5's Nanite and supports HDRP/URP/Built-in render pipeline.

To develop Nano Tech, Chris also created a custom virtual texturing system that is designed to render thousands of different textures on one mesh. What's more, Nano Tech is promised to be available on mobile devices as well. In the future, the developer plans to add more tools to the software, helping artists to improve the productivity and quality of their works.
