nDreams Opened a New Studio to Work On AAA And VR Games

nDreams Studio Elevation will offer a hybrid work model with plans to open a UK-located HQ.

A VR developer nDreams has announced the opening of nDreams Studio Elevation – a new studio headed up by Glenn Brace, former Head of Art and Senior Director of the company. The studio will focus on creating AAA and VR games and will offer a hybrid work model. The staff will start working remotely, but the company is already planning to open its HQ in the UK in the future. The new studio will join nDreams Studio Orbital, which focuses on developing live service games and free-to-play titles for VR.

"nDreams’ continued expansion is a combination of growth, investment in emerging developers, and the VR ecosystem," said Brace, now Head of the studio, "Feeding the VR industry with funding, game development knowledge, and technology, as well as exploring new and existing genres of player experiences will help our entire industry drive player adoption and platform growth. nDreams Studio Elevation aims to be at the forefront of this new wave of VR innovation by creating deep, immersive, and engaging experiences that evolve VR gaming."

Before joining nDreams in 2016, Glenn Brace served as an Art Director at Climax Studios, developing games including Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy. Before becoming Head of nDreams Studio Elevation, he was Head of Art at nDreams where he led the stylistic development of all VR titles of the company.

nDreams has developed several VR titles, the recent ones being Fracked, Phantom: Covert Ops, and Far Cry VR: Dive into Insanity. Last year, it also launched the Third-Party Publishing initiative, aimed at helping indie developers finish, publish, and market their titles. The first title it launched was Little Cities, developed by Purple Yonder.
