Netflix Introduced a New VR Game Based on Stranger Things

In the game, you'll have to play as the fourth season's main antagonist Vecna who wants to take revenge on Eleven and Hawkins.

During the Stranger Things Day 2022 celebrations, which took place on October 6, Netflix announced Stranger Things VR, a new psychological horror/action game based on the famous Nextflix series.

In Stranger Things VR, you'll have to play as Vecna, the main antagonist from the fourth season of the series who is about to take revenge on Eleven as well as the whole town of Hawkins. According to the game's description, you'll have to explore "unknown realities as you form the hive mind and tame the void."

The game is being developed by Tender Claws, the studio known for Virtual Virtual Reality, The Under Presents, and Wide Ocean Big Jacket. Netflix hasn't shared the exact release date of Stranger Things VR yet only saying that the game is set to launch in the winter of 2023 and that it will be released on "major VR platforms."

This is not the first time when Stranger Things is being adapted as a game. There was already one VR game based on the series, Stranger Things: The VR Experience, as well as several mobile titles, including Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales, and a beat 'em up game for PC and console Stranger Things 3: The Game.
